Crawford County has a county population was 39,134. The county seat is Girard and its most populous city is Pittsburg. Pittsburg is a micropolitan area located in Crawford County and is a thriving city that is home to Pittsburg State University and many successful and growing manufacturers. Pittsburg’s population is 20,233 people. A new initiative has them completely renovating the historic downtown district with new retail, offices, and lofts. It is home to AZZ, Pitt Plastics, Pittsco, and many other manufacturers.
